We welcome as a speaker, Marelee Fourie, a highly accomplished clinical physiotherapist, practice owner, and academic with a special clinical interest in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and intensive care.

Earning her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy with Honours (2013) and her Master of Science in Physiotherapy with Distinction (2020) from the University of Witwatersrand, Marelee has built a distinguished career spanning both public hospital systems and private practice.

Currently, Marelee splits her time as the owner of Marelee Fourie Physiotherapy and EquiKinetics Pilates Studio, and as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Witwatersrand, where she is actively involved in clinical supervision in the ICU and undergraduate/postgraduate lecturing. Recognised for her excellence in teaching, she is a recipient of the Best Clinical Supervisor Award as nominated by Wits fourth-year physiotherapy students.

A dedicated leader within the profession, Marelee has served extensively on structures of the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP), including roles as the Private Sector Group (PSG) Chair, Deputy Chair, COID Representative, and past Student Representative.

With extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure ICU environments, coupled with her background as an internationally trained Pilates instructor, Marelee brings a wealth of clinical insight, leadership, and educational passion to the RehabConnekt community.
