We welcome as a panelist, Looksharp Amukelani Makaringi, a Team Leader for the Registrations Division at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

With over 10 years of experience in the registration field, Mr Makaringi ensures that practitioners are accurately registered and can take up employment as interns, in Community Service, in Public Service, and as independent practitioners.

Mr Makaringi has over 15 years of work experience accumulated from both the public and private sector. Mr Makaringi is a holder of a Master of Administration degree, which focused on the effects of political interference on the performance of senior managers, and how the interface between politics and administration should be managed.

Mr Makaringi is currently pursuing a PhD in Administration, focusing on resource allocation and public-sector leadership as catalysts for improved service delivery.
