Keith Peter

We welcome as a speaker, Keith Peter, the Advice Manager: Customer Solutions, Personal Finance at Old Mutual.

In this role, he contributes to the design, implementation and promotion of Old Mutual’s advice philosophy and guiding principles for Personal Financial Advice tied advisers and Broker Distribution independent financial advisers. 

A key focus of Keith’s role is to act as custodian of advice quality and advice processes. He is also responsible for tracking Advice Index measures and supporting adherence to advice processes across the relevant distribution channels. 

Before taking up his current role, Keith was the Legal Adviser Manager, where he managed legal advice for the Broker Distribution, Personal Financial Advice and Agency Franchise Distribution channels in KwaZulu-Natal. 

Keith has been with Old Mutual for 21 years. He has authored articles for Insurance and Tax, Farmers Weekly and Old Mutual’s Premiums and Problems. 

Keith is also a part-time lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He lectures two modules in the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, namely Law of Insurance, Contract and Agency, and Wealth Management. He previously lectured Business Law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Business School.
