Unathi Ramabulana
We welcome as a panelist, Ms. Unathi Ramabulana, the Director of National Minimum Wage (NMW) Policy and BCEA Administration at the Department of Employment and Labour, with over 20 years of experience in labour policy, compliance, and advocacy. She has played a key role in advancing major labour legislation, including the National Minimum Wage Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Labour Relations Act.
She has represented South Africa at international forums such as the International Labour Conference, the Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour, and the World Summit for Social Development, contributing to global discussions on labour policy and social protection.
Ms. Ramabulana holds an LLM in Labour Law from Nelson Mandela University and serves on the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) Governing Body as well as National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) structures. She is passionate about promoting fair labour practices and empowering both workers and employers through labour law awareness.
